Robinson Twp. VFC #1 has been serving the community proudly since 1922. As times change, so has the Fire Service. Currently we have five pieces of equipment plus two boats. The pride of the department is affectionately known as the Wave. The Wave has a 3,000 gallon tank and it pumps at 2,250 gpm. When we had it built, we ordered the operator panel facing the fire. The Wave is only one of two in the United States and it’s an invaluable piece of equipment in our arsenal.
The Air & Light Rescue Truck has been used in several communities in the area where SCBA refills are imperative to ongoing fire suppression. We utilize a four tank refilling station and our air quality has been certified. Currently the Air & Light Rescue Truck is for sale. We’ll be removing the on-board compressor for the sale. The compressor will be mounted on a trailer in the future. It will then be a Utility Truck with a Walk-Thru. |

The E1 is a ‘gently used’ new piece of equipment that we purchased from the Forest Grove VFD. Of course we had to get a new coat of paint on it to match our fire engine red instead of the forest green. We’ve done some updating to the E1. RTVFC #1 now has seven Vehicle Rescue Techs. We replaced the old Jaws of Life with new Spreaders and a Cutting Tool. We just received the new manifold to combine the two tools onto one hydraulic line. |

The not so newly replaced 1941 American LaFrance still runs and we use it in parades. Everyone loves to see it and it’s won several trophies including “Ladies Choice”. I actually think the trophy was for the Chief—Ken Kisow! |
